Dr. Dumichel Harley is a 2024 RCMAR scientist and is a part of Mass-Envision at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University and his pre-doctoral internship in Neuropsychology as a part of the Psychology Assessment Center at HMS/MGH. His RCMAR is “CogCARE: Tailoring Cognitive Rehabilitation Programs for Black Americans with Mild to Moderate Dementia.” Dr. Harley’s project aims to create a cognitive rehabilitation protocol culturally tailored for African American older adults with mild to moderate dementia and their caregivers. He hopes to not only help a population that is disproportionately affected by dementia, but also to provide support for those taking care of their loved ones with dementia.
