RCMAR NCC MSI Fellows Program

Mission and Purpose

The Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR) National Coordinating Center (NCC) is pleased to create opportunities for talented early career investigators from underrepresented backgrounds at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) to apply for the one-year RCMAR MSI Fellows Program (MFP). Successful applicants will be awarded $2,500 to support travel to one of the in-person RCMAR NCC meetings to present a poster. Up to five applicants will be chosen for the MFP. Selected applicants are expected to:  

  • Attend quarterly meetings with the RCMAR NCC Multiple Principal Investigators who will serve as MSI Ambassadors.  
  • Attend the RCMAR Annual Meeting in 2025 and present a poster on your research.  
  • Register and participate in the online networking platform created for RCMAR MSI Fellows.  
  • Complete program evaluation and surveys.  
  • Participate in RCMAR scheduled workshops, webinars, academies, and conferences. 

Eligibility

To be considered, scientists must: 1) Demonstrate interest in aging, health disparities, and/or AD/ADRD research; 2) be an underrepresented student from an MSI; 3) be a current post-doctoral or Early Stage Investigator (ESI) at an MSI; 4) identify as a person from an underrepresented race and/or ethnic group.
