The UCLA RCMAR Center for Health Improvement of Minority Elderly (CHIME) trains and mentors diverse junior-level faculty who will advance their career by conducting research on minority elders. For over two decades, our focus has been to identify and develop solutions to eliminate health disparities and health inequities in the growing population of older adults, and improve the health and well-being of older adults. The application cycle starts with a call for letters of intent which opens July 1 and the deadline is Oct1. Selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by Nov 1 with a Dec 15 deadline. Interviews take place in January; notification of funding is distributed by March.
