In this week’s Scientist Highlights, we feature Marcio A. Almeida, PhD, who became a RCMAR scientist in 2019 at the Rio Grande Valley Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (UTRGV AD RCMAR). Dr. Almeida is an Assistant Professor of Research in the Department of Human Genetics and South Texas Diabetes & Obesity Institute at the UTRGV School of Medicine. His RCMAR pilot grant is entitled, “Search for Novel Endophenotypes Predicting Genetic Risk of Dementia in Mexican Americans.”
