NIA/RCMAR (Nov 2) Webinar on Access to Care for Diverse Communities with Cognitive Impairments

This webinar, Access to Care and Improved Outcomes for Diverse Populations With Cognitive Impairments hosted by the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) on Nov. 2 will look at individual, provider, and systems factors that result in disparities of access and outcomes for people with dementia. It will also include issues from the research agenda that resulted from the 2018 and 2020 Dementia Care Summit. Presenters Drs. Joan Teno, Jordan Lewis, Quincy Samus, Andrea Gilmore Bykovskyi, Jose Luschinger and Elena M. Fazio will focus on the research needs in diverse communities on access to dementia care, the role of informal care in formal care, and community-level interventions that can improve the diagnosis, treatment, and support of diverse elders with Alzheimer’s.
